چکیده

The framework of Hybrid automata—introduced by Alur, Courcourbetis, Henzinger, and Ho—provides a formal modeling and analysis environment to analyze the interaction between the discrete and the continuous parts of hybrid systems. Hybrid automata can be considered as generalizations of finite state automata augmented with a finite set of real-valued variables whose dynamics in each state is governed by a system of ordinary differential equations. Moreover, the discrete transitions of hybrid automata are guarded by constraints over the values of these real-valued variables, and enable discontinuous jumps in the evolution of these variables. Singular hybrid automata are a subclass of hybrid automata where dynamics is specified by state-dependent constant vectors. Henzinger, Kopke, Puri, and Varaiya showed that for even very restricted subclasses of singular hybrid automata, the fundamental verification questions, like reachability and schedulability, are undecidable. Recently, Alur, Wojtczak, and Trivedi studied an interesting class of hybrid systems, called constant-rate multi-mode systems, where schedulability and reachability analysis can be performed in polynomial time. Inspired by the definition of constant-rate multi-mode systems, in this paper we introduce weak singular hybrid automata (WSHA), a previously unexplored subclass of singular hybrid automata, and show the decidability (and the exact complexity) of various verification questions for this class including reachability (NP-Complete) and LTL modelchecking (Pspace-Complete). We further show that extending WSHA with a single unrestricted clock or with unrestricted variable updates lead to undecidability of reachability problem.

Title Literature survey on hierarchical hybrid system and automata theory for multi - satellite cooperative control

A cooperative control system deals with a multiple dynamic entities that share information or tasks to accomplish a common, though perhaps not singular, objective. The cooperative control has been applied to the coordination of unmanned aerial vehicles, the control of multiple satellites, and the control of robots. This report is a literature survey for satellite cooperative control using hiera...

On Timed Simulation Relations for Hybrid Systems and Compositionality

Timed and weak timed simulation relations are often used to show that operations on hybrid systems result in equivalent behavior or in conservative overapproximations. Given that systems are frequently designed and verified in a modular approach, it is desirable that this relationship is compositional, which is not the case for hybrid systems in general. We identify subclasses of linear hybrid ...

Weak log-majorization inequalities of singular values between normal matrices and their absolute values

‎This paper presents two main results that the singular values of the Hadamard product of normal matrices $A_i$ are weakly log-majorized by the singular values of the Hadamard product of $|A_{i}|$ and the singular values of the sum of normal matrices $A_i$ are weakly log-majorized by the singular values of the sum of $|A_{i}|$‎. ‎Some applications to these inequalities are also given‎. ‎In addi...

Weak Refinement for Modal Hybrid Systems

Timed modal speciications have proven useful for the veri-cation of real time systems. In the paper, we show how the notion of modal transitions systems, the basic formalism of timed modal specii-cations, can be generalized to modal hybrid systems. This allows verii-cation problems for hybrid systems to be formulated using the notion of (weak) reenement, a generalization of bisimulation. We als...

Generating Discrete Trace Transition System of a Polyhe-dral Invariant Hybrid Automaton

Supervisory control and fault diagnosis of hybrid systems need to have complete information about the discrete states transitions of the underling system. From this point of view, the hybrid system should be abstracted to a Discrete Trace Transition System (DTTS) and represented by a discrete mode transition graph. In this paper an effective method is proposed for generating discrete mode trans...
